This carefully designed journey takes you from the vibrant multicultural community of Mto wa Mbu to the shores of Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe and Datoga communities and learn about their traditional ways of life.
The safari also gives you the opportunity to experience the traditions of the Maasai people, explore the endless plains of Serengeti National Park and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you will discover traditional food, local farming, indigenous knowledge, traditional crafts, pastoral life and the deep connection between local communities and the natural environment.

Day 01: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Distance: Approximately 120 km
Non-game viewing time: 2–3 hrs
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations and famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife.
Upon arrival, begin your first game drive through the park. You will have the opportunity to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes and a variety of bird species as you explore the park’s beautiful landscapes.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later in the afternoon, leave the park and drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: Tarangire – Mto wa Mbu Cultural Experience
Distance: Approximately 80 km
Non-cultural/travel time: 2 hrs
After breakfast, drive towards Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant community located near Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. The area is known for its cultural diversity, agriculture, traditional crafts and community-based tourism.
Upon arrival, begin a guided cultural walking tour through the village. Visit local farms, banana plantations, rice fields, traditional homes, craft workshops and the local market while learning about everyday life in the community.
You will have the opportunity to meet local artisans and observe traditional crafts, interact with farmers and learn about different cultures living together in the area.
Enjoy a traditional local lunch prepared using locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, continue exploring the village before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Mto wa Mbu – Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Experience
Distance: Approximately 100 km
Non-cultural/travel time: 2–3 hrs
After an early breakfast, depart towards Lake Eyasi for one of the most memorable cultural experiences of the safari.
Arrive in the morning and meet the Hadzabe community, traditionally known for their hunter-gatherer lifestyle and deep knowledge of the natural environment.
With the assistance of a local Hadzabe guide, learn about traditional hunting techniques, tracking, gathering wild foods and the use of indigenous plants. You will also learn about the Hadzabe language, traditions and their close relationship with the surrounding environment.
After the Hadzabe experience, continue with a visit to the Datoga community. The Datoga are traditionally pastoralists and are also highly skilled in traditional metalworking.
Visit a Datoga blacksmith workshop and observe how local craftsmen use traditional techniques to transform metal into tools, ornaments and other useful objects. Learn about their traditions, livestock keeping and everyday community life.
After the cultural activities, enjoy lunch and spend the evening relaxing around Lake Eyasi.

Day 04: Lake Eyasi – Serengeti National Park
Distance: Approximately 250 km
Non-game viewing time: 4–5 hrs
After breakfast, leave Lake Eyasi and continue towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.
The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania and the Ngorongoro highlands before entering the endless plains of Serengeti.
Upon entering the national park, begin an en-route game drive. Keep your eyes open for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and predators such as lions and cheetahs.
Continue towards the central Serengeti area, also known as Seronera, which is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park.
Arrive at your accommodation in the evening, enjoy dinner and relax under the African sky.

Day 05: Serengeti National Park – Full-Day Wildlife & Cultural Experience
After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the spectacular Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is famous for its vast plains, abundant wildlife and the annual Great Migration. During the game drive, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and various species of antelopes.
Your experienced guide will also explain the relationship between wildlife, local communities and the traditional pastoralist lifestyle of the Maasai around the Serengeti ecosystem.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with afternoon game viewing. Later, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Maasai Cultural Experience
Distance: Approximately 145 km

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you leave the Serengeti and continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, visit a traditional Maasai village, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the Maasai way of life, livestock keeping, traditional homes, clothing, beadwork and cultural traditions.
Meet local community members and learn how cattle play an important role in Maasai society. You may also experience traditional songs and dances and have an opportunity to purchase locally made handicrafts directly from community artisans.
Continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands and arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon.
Enjoy dinner and overnight overlooking the beautiful highland landscape.

Day 07: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Distance: Approximately 190 km

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive.
The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you may see elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and many other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the spectacular scenery of the crater before ascending and beginning your journey back to Arusha.
Continue through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania and arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon.
