This 4-day safari takes you straight to the heart of the Great Migration calving season in the Ndutu plains of Southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Every year between January and March, nearly 500,000 wildebeest calves are born within weeks, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. You’ll witness dramatic wildlife action, stunning landscapes, and experience one of nature’s greatest spectacles in just a few days.

📅 Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha → Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)
Morning pickup from Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport.
Scenic drive through Ngorongoro highlands to Ndutu (~6 hrs with stops).
Afternoon game drive in the plains.
Attractions: First sightings of wildebeest herds, elephants, giraffes, and predators.
Overnight: Tented camp in Ndutu.
Day 2: Ndutu – Calving Season Safari
Full-day game drive across Ndutu short-grass plains.
Witness thousands of wildebeest calves being born.
Predators (cheetahs, lions, hyenas) in action around the herds.
Attractions: Newborn wildebeest, predator-prey interactions, excellent photography.
Overnight: Ndutu tented camp.
Day 3: Ndutu → Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drive in Ndutu.
Drive to Ngorongoro Crater (3–4 hrs).
Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive.
Attractions: The Big Five (rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard), hippos, flamingos, and more.
Overnight: Lodge on crater rim or Karatu.
Day 4: Ngorongoro → Arusha / Departure
Breakfast and easy drive back to Arusha (2–3 hrs).
Optional stop at a Maasai village or local market.
Drop-off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight.
