Day-by-Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro – Transfer to Moshi

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to Moshi, the gateway city to Kilimanjaro. Settle into your accommodation and take some time to relax and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight at Moshi.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Begin your adventure at Machame Gate, where you will complete park formalities and meet your experienced mountain guides and porters. The first day of your trek takes you through lush rainforests, home to a wide variety of plant and animal species. Enjoy the scenic beauty and reach Machame Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Continue your ascent, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the heather and moorland zone. Experience the changing landscapes and breathtaking views as you trek towards Shira Camp, located at an elevation of 3,840 meters (12,600 feet).

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Today’s trek introduces you to the alpine desert and the impressive Lava Tower. Ascend to an altitude of 4,630 meters (15,190 feet) and then descend to Barranco Camp, situated at 3,950 meters (12,960 feet). Enjoy the stunning vistas along the way and settle into the camp for the night.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Embark on a challenging day of trekking as you conquer the Barranco Wall, a steep climb requiring some scrambling. Enjoy panoramic views from the top and continue to Karanga Camp, nestled on a rocky ridge.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Reach Barafu Camp, situated at 4,680 meters (15,350 feet), the final camp before your summit attempt. The rugged landscapes and high altitude set the stage for your ultimate challenge. Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the coming day.

Day 7: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Mweka Camp

Start your summit push in the early hours of the morning under a starlit sky. Ascend through the freezing temperatures and darkness towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro, standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). Reach the summit at sunrise and revel in the breathtaking views. Descend to Mweka Camp, located at 3,100 meters (10,170 feet), for your final overnight on the mountain. 

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Kilimanjaro International Airport

On your final day, trek down to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your well-deserved summit certificates. Say goodbye to Kilimanjaro and our team will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
