Day-by-Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu
Your adventure begins with a brief morning session, after which you’ll set out for Lake Manyara National Park. Despite being one of Tanzania’s smaller reserves, it boasts remarkable biodiversity. The park is dominated by the alkaline Lake Manyara, which, depending on the season, is awash with a pink hue from thousands of flamingos. But the spectacle doesn’t end there: over 500 bird species call this park home. As you traverse the landscape, watch for monkeys frolicking in the forests, giraffes and wildebeests grazing on the plains, and majestic lions and elephants beneath the acacia canopy. Post an immersive game drive and a delightful picnic lunch, journey towards the refreshing climes of the Ngorongoro highlands, with a serene night awaiting at the Marera Valley Lodge.

The Ngorongoro Crater, with its staggering depth of nearly 600 meters and a span of about 20 km, is a natural sanctuary for a plethora of animals. During your game drive, spot the famed Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards—as well as other fascinating inhabitants like the gazelles and mountain reedbucks. The crater also offers glimpses of elusive spotted hyenas, wild dogs, and a diverse avian population.
